MEDICO Closes The Year in Ruinas de Copan, Honduras – 2023

Copan 2023

It was a great finish to MEDICO’s 2023 year of humanitarian service to Central America! Special thanks to each of the volunteers who shared a week with us, giving of their time and talents and sharing their hearts and compassion where the need is always present. To add to our gratitude, our gracious donors’ support is what helps make it all possible.

Just as important as the medicines that were distributed during the week, the teeth that were filled in the dental clinic, and the reading glasses given to the elderly who had never had the chance to see well, MEDICO provided hope to a grateful community.

MEDICO’s Commendable Return to Honduras October 2023

For the second time, the distinguished team from MEDICO graced Copan Ruinas, Honduras, with their presence, and we at PFCI were thrilled to host them again in sunny Copan Ruinas. Their visit is nothing short of a blessing for the local communities. With a legacy spanning over 33 years in Honduras, MEDICO stands as the most seasoned medical brigades in all of Central America, a testament to their dedication and unwavering commitment.

This year, during their visit in the first week of October, they truly brought their all: comprehensive medical services, dental care, and optometry. Their remarkable team of 12 medical professionals went above and beyond, tending to a record-breaking 696 men, women, and children in just five days. Their impact resonated deeply within the community, marking their visit as an outstanding success.

We’re already looking forward to their next mission here, anticipated in July 2024. To the entire MEDICO team: congratulations on an exemplary job and our heartfelt gratitude for the profound difference they made in the lives of the people they served.

Sincerely,

Rodger Harrison
